An IELTS coach that measures first and teaches second
AIelts exists because most IELTS preparation starts with a syllabus instead of a student. We start with a diagnostic, then build the plan around what it found and the date you are sitting the exam.
Why we built it
Preparing for IELTS Academic usually means buying a book of practice tests, working through it front to back, and finding out on exam day which band you actually reached. The weeks go to material you had already mastered, and the one criterion dragging your score down never gets named.
The two of us wanted the opposite order. Sit a real diagnostic first, get an honest estimate of where you stand in each of the four skills, and spend the time you have left on the specific gaps that estimate exposed. That is the whole product.
How we work
- Measure before prescribing
- A free Reading and Listening diagnostic comes first, and the study plan is generated from its result, not from a fixed curriculum.
- Graded against the official criteria
- Writing is assessed on Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy. Speaking is assessed on Fluency and Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy, and Pronunciation. Feedback names the criterion, not just the band.
- Original practice material only
- Every passage, recording and prompt on the site is generated for this product and reviewed before it is published. We do not reproduce past papers, and nothing here is a leaked or reconstructed real test.
- Honest about the estimate
- An AI band estimate is an estimate. It is calibrated against the public band descriptors and it is useful for tracking progress, but only the official test issues an official score, and we say so everywhere we show a number.
Who we are not
AIelts is an independent study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, or Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and we cannot register you for the exam, change a result, or influence one.
